One of the few noticible effects Taiwan has left on our daily life is flowers. We could buy a half-dozen lilies for $5, roses for $3, and several orchids stems for $5. I would pick up flowers every week or two, the apartment would look nicer, and the tradition has carried home. Several weeks ago, someone asked about purchasing a print of flower pictures. It had literally been a year since I had taken one, and I should hope I'm a better photographer now than then. That motivation + winter doldrums = the current flower kick.
