Dragonfly
Looking through some old pictures and found this guy - I really do like taking pictures of nature, but they are few and far between these days. As soon as it's warm, though, Madeline and I will have some outdoor adventures!
The perfectly wrinkled face, the morning sun peeking over the mountains; moments come and pass leaving only pictures as a record that for one second I was Amazed.

Just the standard kit lens (18-55mm) with my 20D. Maybe someone will donate me a real macro lense someday :)
For sure mAdeline is going to have great adventures with a photographer dad. Lovely DoF. Wonder how this was in color.
The color version was terribly boring:) The ground behind it was dull brown and the flower not very vibrant - I think that's why I didn't post it at the time I took the picture!
How did you get so close without it flying away? And as for Madeline, I'm making her a scarf!

Wow, for a non macro lens that's fantastic work. I'm amazed at how well it works in b+w. Love the composition.
