Poor Susan - Pingtung

Southern Taiwan is currently underwater. Ordinarily rain is obnoxious because it means a bit of work to keep dry on the scooter, but our friend came from the States to the worst weather of the year. The picture below is of the island we would theoretically be on right now, were it sunny and the ferries running back and forth. But we're at home, thankful, at least, that we're not stranded on the island like the hundreds of other tourists who've been there since Saturday!

Also, bored and stranded in the rain, we did some pictures imitating Floppy the goat. If you feel the urge to do the same, email me your Floppy pictures. I'd love a good laugh!

WOW. The island looks so beautiful, and yes poor Susan, taking the time to travel that far an not getting the chance to visit a beautiful place because of the rain. That's so sad but I think that it is well reflected on her expression.
